During EVO 2024 Bandai Namco announced a Nike and Tekken 8 collaboration based on the Nike Air Foamposite Onewhich will appear in the famous fighting game and were made available to visitors to the event with an exclusive edition inspired by Kazuya Mishima.
The operation was revealed by Tekken project director Katsuhiro Harada, accompanied by Tekken 8 game director Kohei Ikeda and producer Michael Murray. Taking to the stage at EVO, the three presented the trailer you can see belowproviding the first details on the collaboration.
In the video you can see several characters from Tekken 8 wearing the Nike Air Foamposite One during various activities, both sporting and otherwise, highlighting the design and style of these sneakers with a series of strategic shots.
That’s not all: also in the trailer, the iconic Nike Swoosh appears on the billboards of a special version of Times Square inspired by one of the levels in the game.
The Nike Air Foamposite One “Kazuya Mishima”
Harada, Ikeda and Murray also surprised the visitors of the event by revealing the real Nike Air Foamposite One in the Kazuya Mishima editionfeaturing a shiny and brilliant black color that pays homage to the style of the unbeatable fighter of the Mishima family.
Using the Nike app, geolocated users at EVO had the opportunity to purchase these absolutely limited and exclusive edition sneakerswith further details on the collaboration to be announced at a later date.
Bandai Namco’s announcement regarding the partnership with Nike It came alongside news of Heihaichi Mishima’s return in Tekken 8, which thrilled many fans of the series, especially those in attendance at EVO 2024.
