Nicoletta Saracco failed to defeat that bad disease diagnosed 4 years ago. She had become the testimonial of breast cancer
Nicoletta Saracco He did not make it. She passed away forever at the age of 33. She was her breast cancer testimonial.
She had shared her illness on social media, involving and supporting many women in her same situation. She had given them strength and courage and he always showed himself with a smile on his face.
Four years ago he had discovered the unpleasant diagnosis. She was only 29 years old. But she didn’t let herself fall, she managed to demonstrate incredible lightness. Nicoletta Saracco was originally from the Marches and worked in the fashion world.
For 4 long years, she underwent all the necessary treatments, managing to also become a testimonial of the IEO extension, the European Institute of Oncology. It had only one purpose, to support and help all women in the same situation as her.
She also managed to bring the NI project. ART. GALLERYto raise funds to help with breast cancer research. Right on the website, Nicoletta had told her story.
The story of Nicoletta Saracco
I’m Nicoletta, in 2019, at the age of 29 I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Suddenly I find myself catapulted into a whole new world, from fashion to hospitals. From a first diagnosis of breast cancer, a second one of metastatic breast cancer follows. Which meant having a mass not localized in a single point, therefore not operable. And so begins my long journey at the IEO, European Institute of Oncology.
With tears in my eyes and a smile on my lips, I begin my journey made up of therapies, CT scans, pet scans, analyses, ultrasounds, all repeated cyclically, monthly, ad infinitum. I’m still having chemo, I don’t know when and how it will end but I found a sense in it all. The meaning is to help those like me and raise awareness among young people as much as possible on the topic of prevention.
A period, which despite everything, was for the girl the best of his life. He started painting during the Pandemic, representing his emotions and negative thoughts and managing to sell his creations. In addition to canvases, she then dedicated herself to sweatshirts and t-shirts.
The subject that I decided to paint and embroider is the Madonna, which has become the logo of the NI.ART.GALLERY brand. Part of the proceeds from the canvases and garments is donated to the IEO-Monzino Foundation for breast cancer research. The message I try to bring out is the joy of living in color. It’s the colors that transmit that energy that we all need.
