Nicole Daza: the complete biography of Marcell Jacobs’ companion, winner of gold for Italy in the 100 meters at the Tokyo Olympics
One of the strongest reasons that led Marcell Jacobs to win the gold medal in the 100 meters at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics (it is the first time for an Italian) was the support of his partner Nicole Daza. Not even the infamous accusations of doping by the British and American media, immediately denied by the president of Coni Malagò, have scratched the incredible feat of the blue sprinter and the beautiful relationship with his future bride.
Nicole Daza is a 28-year-old model and influencer born in Manta, Ecuador, but raised in Novi Ligure. Nicole met Marcell Jacobs three and a half years ago in a nightclub in Milan and it seems that it was a real love at first sight. The couple now lives in Rome a few steps from the Olympic stadium and has two children, Anthony and Megan, aged 2 and 10 months respectively. The Italian sprinter had already had a son, Jeremy, born of a previous relationship at the age of 19.
“With Marcell we shared everything from the first moment we got together – said Nicole Daza -, good and bad things, successes and falls, from which he came back stronger each time”. The two, as confirmed by the sprinter himself after winning the gold, will get married as soon as the Olympics are over.
