Nicolás Echavarría is once again close to a title PGA Tour, this time in the Zurich Classic, one of the few team events organized by that tour and in which the Colombian is accompanied by the American Max Greyserman, with whom they signed a -9 card today to reach a total of -20 and be 3 strokes behind the leaders, Zac Blair and Patrick Fishburn.
Echavarria, came to New Orleans, headquarters of the aforementioned event, after a good participation in the Corales Puntacana Championship, where he achieved his first top 15 of the year, a fact that reflects how well he has been playing and the possibilities he has of winning his second PGA title.
While waiting for what happens on the decisive day, the truth is that the competition is quite tight, since there are several groups that tie for third place and, for the closing day, the format requires that the golfers be a lot more precise in each of their blows.
It is worth remembering that the prize for each of the members of the winning couple of this event is 1.2 million dollars, to which are added prizes such as points in the FedEx Cup and also exemption for major tour events, such as 'Designated Events' and the PGA Championship.
