A new project arises within the national musical atmosphere. Infamous films by famous directors, the new solo album by Nicolas Duarte, is presented as a novelty since its inception. The artist summoned different producers (among them Mature Hair) and asked each one to work on a song. These were produced by Nicolás, who managed to show that production is capable of adding to the creative process.
The result is an album that transits between different genres, such as rock, pop, indie, folk, even salsa and music. Andean music. The song chosen to represent the album is “Cápsula”, produced by the Alejandro and María Laura duo. The album cover was illustrated by Peruvian graphic artist Rocío Urtecho, better known as ‘Jugo Gástrico’.

With whom did Nicolás Duarte work for this production?
According to the artist, this album is his most ambitious and experimental work. It is divided into two volumes of six tracks each. On the first album are the songs produced by Pelo Madueño, Alejandro and María Laura, Valeria Valencia, Daniel Ruiz-Gonzales, Jeanne Montalvo, Erni Lú and Lufo Armestar.
While in the second volume the same songs are presented, but produced by Nicolas Duarte and mixed by Rafael Otero. In this part of the album, each song has as its only protagonists a voice and an instrument.

Who is Nicolás Duarte?
Nicolás is a Peruvian musician, composer and producer. The national rock-loving public has followed him for almost 20 years, as a singer of Slash Y The mind, two of the most famous independent bands in the country.
In 2000 he released the debut album of his first band Shrimp jackson, produced by Pelo Madueño and edited by Sony Peru. In 2002 he founded Wacky Records, a musical collective that included a record label, an audiovisual production company, a recording studio and an event production company.
To date, Nicolás has shared four songs from his latest album, for which he received rave reviews in national and international media. The song “Que vuelvan” has the participation of Audry Funk (Mexico) and was highlighted in the Alt.Latino list of NPR (National Public Radio) of the United States.
Nicolás Duarte also presents a parallel audiovisual project with video clips that accompany the songs and that will finally add six installments, made and directed by different directors and visual artists, such as Mr. Tronch, Garzo, Gustavo de la Torre Casal, Lucho Soldevilla, among others.
