The Brazilian forward of Paris SG Neymar is doubtful for his team’s friendly match against South Korea, on Thursday in Seoul, after injuring his right foot in training on Wednesday.
Neymar was sore in his right foot and fell to the ground after a crash with a teammate during the training session at the World Cup Stadium in Seoul. After limping off the field, he did not return.

“We’re going to keep an eye on his foot until tomorrow (Thursday) morning,” Brazilian team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar commented at a press conference, specifying that “Ney’s” foot had swollen.
“Right now, it’s hard to say for sure if he’ll be able to play. We’ll see tomorrow morning”, he added. Rodrigo Lasmar pointed out that Neymar had been traumatized by the injuries contracted in his right foot, especially a fracture of the fifth metatarsal suffered in a Ligue 1 match in February 2018, and another injury in the same foot, in January 2019.
This season, the Brazilian number 10 had many physical problemsespecially an ankle injury, which took him away from the pitch for thirteen games.
Real and Liverpool players
While Neymar and most of the team arrived in South Korea last week, six players from Real Madrid and Liverpool only did it on Tuesday, three days after the Champions League final in Paris.
“Considering their physical condition and the long trip, it is probably the most reasonable thing to have them play in other games (instead of Thursday’s match),”signed by the Brazilian coach Tite at a press conference. “But everyone is wanting to play,” he added.
Tite said South Korea, led by Portuguese coach Paulo Bento for almost four years, is “well prepared” for the World Cup.
