As soon as the apartment is evicted by the court, I will move in.” He described the allegations as a “campaign” that aims to “damage me and the AfD in the elections.” The question of how he and his wife, who are also registered there, and their two children are supposed to fit into the tiny one-room apartment was left to the ZDF According to the court, the alleged previous tenant is Mirror-Information about a refugee with a criminal record who apparently knows nothing about having to vacate the apartment for Bystron.

Scandals overshadow European election campaign: Allegations against AfD candidates Bystron and Krah
The Bundestag lifted Bystron’s immunity in mid-May because the Attorney General’s Office was investigating him on suspicion of bribery and money laundering. Police searched his office in Berlin, among other places. Bystron himself described the proceedings as politically motivated. He expects the proceedings to be dropped “when the election is over.”
The scandals surrounding the party are piling up: Bystron and the AfD top candidate for the European electionsMaximilian Krah, have been in the headlines for weeks because of possible connections to pro-Russian networks.
