Newey in Italy
In an article published yesterday by the Germans of Cars, Motor and Sport it was argued that Adrian Newey had been spotted at Bologna's Guglielmo Marconi Airport. The time indication connected to the information is vague, generic “lately“. It is logical to think that the arrival in Italy of the brilliant designer from Red Bull could be in some way linked to Ferrari's interest in him, which in fact has never been denied by both parties.
Because Newey was in Italy
Adrian Newey actually stopped in Bolognabut treat yourself a day on the track at Mugello. Last March 25 in fact the Tuscan track – owned by Ferrari – hosted a classic free car test organized by KR Motorsports, in which the British engineer decided to participate. Driving activities to which Newey often dedicates himself, both aboard historic and racing cars, such as when he ran the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2007 with the Red Bull-sponsored Ferrari F430GT.
Confirmation of Adrian Newey's presence on the track for that date was also provided by a video spread on Instagram by the driver Thomas Biagi, who intercepted him in the pits of the Mugello racetrack – strictly in a Red Bull suit – and who joked with him: “We hope that one day Mister Newey will arrive at Ferrari.”
