United States.- The New York Department of Sanitation announced this Monday that it will begin to recruit temporary workers to clean the snow, in this text we tell you what you need for this job.
“We recruit temporary snow workers, by the day. These workers are called in after heavy snowfalls to remove snow and ice from areas like bus stops, crosswalks and fire hydrants throughout the city.”
Pay starts at $17.00 per hour and increases to $25.50 per hour after the first 40 hours worked in a week. To be eligible, applicants must be:
- At least 18 years old.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Able to perform heavy physical work.
To register, workers must have:
- Two small photos (1-1/2 square inches),
- Two original forms of identification, plus copies,
- A Social Security card, and
- Be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus, in order to register for an appointment.
