“I already feel a part of this club and truly believe that NYC is the perfect place to continue my development and grow on and off the pitch. It’s inspiring to see how NY City produces talent and how homegrown players get the opportunity to play for the first team. I know this will take a while. Carrizo has been part of the New York City FC youth academy since 2018, appearing on the U-12 FC Westchester roster; subsequently, he received the invitation for the first team pre-season in 2022.
Likewise, his good performance on the field has been good, so much so that at the beginning of the year he was called up by the U-15 United States team. That is how Maximum Reed may be eligible for the New York City II team and now holds the record for the youngest signed Major League Soccer player.
