Chosen after a clash between PT members, Sidônio Palmeira created a video that opposes Lula to Bolsonaro
The 1st video produced by the marketer Sidônio Palmeira for the pre-campaign of Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (EN) pleased PT members and allies.
The hiring of Sidônio came after a dispute between party members over the pre-candidate’s communication.
The piece is called “2 sides”. It presents scenes related to death, hunger and other ills opposed to gestures of hope – associating the latter to Lula and the former to Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

The video premiered this Saturday (May 7, 2022), in the act in which Lula launched the presidential ticket that heads and has Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) as vice.
PT allies interpreted that the production exposes the tone that the presidential campaign will have from now on. In other words, an attempt to turn the October election into a plebiscite between the Bolsonaro and Lula governments.
The production was praised by PT allies and other parties in the coalition, formed by PT, PSB, PC do B, Psol, PV, Rede and Solidariedade.
Sidônio started working with Lula’s pre-campaign after the marketer Augusto Fonseca was removed. PT announced the shutdown on April 21.
Fonseca had been chosen by former minister Franklin Martins, then Lula’s main adviser in the area of communication. Franklin also left his duties in the PT pre-campaign.
Their work was criticized by PT leaders, such as the party’s Communications Secretary, Jilmar Tattoo.
Now, Franklin Martins’ role should be occupied by a couple: the deputy Rui Falcão (PT-SP) and the mayor of Araraquara (SP), Edinho Silva (EN).
