The author of Fullmetal Alchemist, Hiromu Arakawa will be back soon with a new manga. Just as the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of one of the most beloved stories of all time are underway, the August issue of Monthly Shonen Gangan, SQUARE ENIX magazine, announces the imminent launch of a new manga written by Arakawa herself.
Among the biggest hits of this talented mangaka there are Fullmetal Alchemist is Silver Spoon. The first debuted in the magazine Monthly Shonen Gangan in 2001 and ended in 2010. The great fame that the story of the Elric brothers acquired in a short time, made it become Fullmetal Alchemist much more than a simple comic: in addition to the animated transposition in 2003, in 2009 the anime known as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, as well as two feature films, a live action and several stories related to the characters that made the franchise famous.
Silver Spoon it first appeared in the magazine in 2011 and ended in November 2019. The anime’s first season aired from Fuji TV in July 2013, followed by the second which began in January 2014. The animated series is currently available on the platform Crunchyroll.
To celebrate the manga’s anniversary Fullmetal Alchemist, the return of some art exhibitions in the cities of Tokyo is Osaka, respectively in the winter and spring of 2022, the release of a commemorative book of the series and other surprises, including the release of the first digital volume of the manga for a limited period of time free of charge.
