Ford presented the new generation of the suv Everesta derivative of the Ranger that promises to be the top of the range of the American brand in terms of active and passive safety. Following its open approach to traditional engines on the American market, Ford did not equip the model with hybrid versions, neither at 48 V nor plug-in. In fact, Everest will be offered initially, depending on the reference market, with a new 3-liter V6 turbodiesel or with a proven 2-liter turbodiesel. A 2.3-liter EcoBoost petrol engine will also be available from 2023.
For all models, the transmission will be automatic, with a possible choice between 6 or 10-speed variants, obviously depending on the type of engine. The cars can also be ordered according to the four-wheel drive system: insertable or permanent with reduction gear. But there will also be two-wheel drive versions for some markets, with a more affordable price.
To characterize the Ford Everest, a car that can count up to seven seats, is the theme of safety and driving aids. The Blue Oval has in fact listened to the criticisms and advice of customers, churning out a truly complete package of devices. It starts with the availability of ben 9 airbags and we come to the Matrix Led optics with automatic management, passing through a long list of ‘ADAS’. There are adaptive cruise control, the warning system for intersections, assistance for the blind spot with a function dedicated to a possible trailer, an integrated braking system for towing, active lane keeping, the anti-collision system with evasive steering and automatic parking assistance (without driver intervention)
There will be three trim levels: Sport, Titanium (in the gallery) And Platinum. In the latter, ventilated front seats with memory function, heated rear seats, electric handbrake and 12-inch infotainment system (instead of 10.1) will be standard.
