The Tuscan company, through an official press release, canceled the test with Cuoiopelli and prepared training sessions behind closed doors
Empoli, with an official press release on its website, communicated the coronavirus positivity of six members of the team group. As per current regulations, the players were placed in isolation, with the club in coordination from the beginning with the competent health authorities. Following the cases found by Spezia (the number of positives in the Ligurian club has reached 15), therefore, the Covid alert continues, in light of the debate in recent days on the no vaxes of various teams not only in Serie A, but also of minor leagues.
Despite the positivity of six players, the team’s training sessions will continue regularly after the session held regularly during the morning. Until further notice from the club, however, the sessions will take place behind closed doors, in order to limit the risk of further infections and gatherings by fans or the press. In light of the incident, however, Empoli has decided to cancel the friendly match against Cuoiopelli, scheduled for tomorrow Saturday 24 July at 18.00 in Santa Croce sull’Arno.
