Citroen is preparing to further expand its SUV range. The reason is quickly explained: the new one is about to make its official debut C3 Aircrossdeliberately related to the C3 sedan, with the French automaker announced that it will be soon to be marketed in Europe. Meanwhile, the Stellantis group brand has released the first official images of the model, which will be offered with a hybrid range enriched by a 100% electric offer.
Renewal for Citroen C3 Aircross
The new Citroen C3 Aircross is based on the Smart Car platform, which allows you to propose a great variety of options in terms of energy and rationalize costs. The strengths of the renewed SUV are always the same: distinctive design, large interior space with up to 7 seats, and as mentioned before, a wide range of engines available. All of this, the French brand promises, at one highly competitive price positioningalthough the latter has not yet been announced.
New design
Starting from the design, the new C3 Aircross brings to the front the new Citroen logo and also adopts the characteristic 3-segment light signature. The French car manufacturer has chosen to play with colours, it is no coincidence that we find a two-tone roof and different touches of shades given by the inserts Color Clip, which are present on the bumper and on the fixed side window trims, all of which can be replaced as desired by the customer. The aesthetic overview is completed by the high and horizontal bonnet, the wider fenders and tracks, the solid and protective shoulders, and the large wheels with a diameter of 690 mm.
Spacious interior
As for the interiors, Citroen has decided to focus heavily on the spaciousness of the passenger compartment. As? First of all, bringing the length of the car to 4.39 metres, in the service of greater habitability on board. And as mentioned initially, there is the possibility of hosting comfortably up to 7 people, thanks also and above all to two foldaway seats in the trunk. No details related to technology and to connectivity has been released: Citroen has announced that more information regarding the new C3 Aircross will be communicated as the launch date approaches, by the summer of this year.
Hybrid and electric
Few details have also been released regarding the engine range, which we know, however, is largely electrified: Citroen has in fact promised that, alongside the traditional thermal offering, it will be offered not only with a range hybrid That “it will facilitate access to electrification” and whose versatility “it will be able to adapt perfectly to this type of bodywork”but also in 100% electric version, “with an accessible line-up produced in Europe”.
