Dacia puts another stone in its process of conquering segment C. As? With a new SUV, which already in its name expresses magnificence: Bigsters. We had the chance to see it live as a preview in Berlin, and now we’ll tell you about it. But first a clarification on the future of the Romanian brand’s range, because it doesn’t end here. It sounds like a threat but it’s exactly the opposite: Dacia has made it known that Bigster will not be the brand’s only offering in the C segment, but that it will be followed by two other new models. We will know more soon.
The new Dacia Bigster seen live
Returning to Bigster, from an aesthetic point of view this SUV broadly follows what Dacia showed with the concept of the same name presented in June three years ago. Chapter dimensionswe summarize them in the blink of an eye: length 4.57 m, height 1.71 m, width 1.81 m and wheelbase 2.7 m. An SUV that therefore asserts itself in terms of robustness, but which in terms of design is enhanced by features such as the simplicity And the essentiality. Some examples? The Bi-Tone offer for the bodywork, the exclusive debut on Bigster of the Indigo Blue colour, the wheels up to 19″ (17″ or 18″ are standard), the geometric and at the same time taut lines, and we could go on for a long time. In short, a C-SUV that stands out from the crowd for its robustness combined with Dacia’s design philosophy.
Essential design, spacious interiors
All based on what the Romanian brand has thought of for the interior: in this case the key word is habitability. But also technology: all the information relating to driving is in fact brought together on the 7″ or 10″ digital instrument panel depending on the trim level, while all that relating to the multimedia system appears on the 10.1″ central touchscreen as standard on all models. versions of the SUV. The central console is instead available in three levels: low, medium or, for the first time on a Dacia model, raised complete with an armrest with refrigerated compartment, induction battery charger and a large storage compartment. We had the opportunity to sit on the new Dacia Bigster both in the driver’s seat and in the passenger seat (front and rear): the work done by the brand in terms of comfort and also spaciousness, both for the legs and for the head, it’s very good.
Equipment for all tastes
Before we get to the engine range, a few other Bigster items worth mentioning. One above all, the large boot: being able to enjoy a capacity of up to 667 VDA liters under the parcel shelf, the new C-SUV from Dacia stands out for its best trunk volume in the segment. Speaking of spaciousness, the 40/20/40 modularity of the rear seats stands out. Furthermore, the presence of the exclusive fixing system cannot be ignored YouClipwhich allows different accessories from the range to be fixed in key points of the passenger compartment, the latter being five as standard: on the dashboard, side of the passenger console, rear part of the central console, luggage compartment and boot lid trim.
The first Dacia panoramic sunroof
And that’s not all yet, because a word of credit also goes to panoramic sunroof: this is an absolute novelty for Dacia, it is 120 cm long, can open 35 cm and is available on Extreme and Journey, as standard in the first case and as an option in the second. The new Bigster le completes the range of accessories modular roof bars Dacia which are standard for the Extreme trim level, the Sleep Pack, the roof rack, the tailgate curtain, the removable rear armrest, the seat organizer and the hook box.

Let’s start from HYBRID 155: consists of a 107 HP 4-cylinder petrol engine, two electric motors including a 50 HP unit and a high voltage starter/generator, a 1.4 kWh (230 V) battery and an electrified automatic gearbox equipped with 4 gears for the combustion engine and another two for the electric motor. We then find the TCe 140which combines a next-generation 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine and adopts the Miller cycle supported by a 48V mild-hybrid system and 6-speed manual gearbox.
LPG always present
LPG could not be missing, however present in an electrified version: a 48 V mild-hybrid system assists the 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbo engine during starting and acceleration. In total, the SUV in this case boasts up to 1,450 km of overall autonomy thanks to the two tanks which have a total capacity of 99 liters of fuel, of which 50 liters of petrol and 49 liters of LPG. Last, but not least, the TCe 130 4×4with all-wheel drive that is combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 48 V mild-hybrid system, which assists the 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbo engine during starting and acceleration.
