The Netherlands isolated 61 passengers from South Africa by Covid-19 diagnosis. Travelers who tested positive for the disease will be isolated in a hotel near Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, the Dutch health authority said.
The Dutch government has yet to say whether any of the isolated passengers are infected by the new variant of the coronavirus, omicron, which prompted the country to suspend flights from southern Africa on Friday (26).
