The Polish TV series Pantano ’97 returns to Netflix with a second season, available from 7 July 2021 on the streaming platform. The second season of Pantano ’97 is available on Netflix from the July 7, 2021. The series is a Polish thriller written and directed by Jan Holoubek with the collaboration of Kasper Bajon.
The first season premiered on the streaming platform on March 25, 2020. The original title of the series is Rojst, whose meaning in Italian is “swamp”, a metaphor used to represent the rigid socialist reality of the country, which in the presence of rebellions tends to repress them.
Unlike the previous season, the second chapter of the series will not also be broadcast on Showmax, being a Netflix exclusive.
Pantano ’97: the plot of the second season
The second season of Pantano ’97 begins with “the flood of the century”Which hit Poland in 1997. The flood caused several damage: the water broke the banks and submerged part of the city and the wood of Gronty. Furthermore, gods came to light human remains buried in the shade of plants, including the body of a young man found an accidental victim of the flood.

Initially the two events do not seem connected, but then reveal one series of mysteries citizens who will turn Gronty into a crime scene. The policewoman Anna Jass together with the local inspector Adam Mika start the investigation.
Meantime, Piotr Zarzycki returns to town as the chief director of “Kurier”, while Witold Wanycz answers police questions that will bring gods to the surface painful memories of the past.
In the second season of Pantano ’97 we find Magdalena Różczka in the role of the policewoman Anna Jass, while the inspector Adam Mika is played by Łukasz Simlat.
