The growth of streaming service Netflix is faltering in the home market. In the United States and Canada, the number of subscribers decreased by . in the second quarter 430,000 compared to the same period in the first corona year 2020. Netflix nevertheless achieved a growth of 1.5 million subscribers worldwide, bringing the total to 209 million. In the saturated market in the US and Canada, the company faces growing competition. It promises to start offering video games at no additional cost.
