Reduced his presence in the first team, he is a starter again in the subsidiary and will now be key to tie the second position and to fight for promotion to Second RFEF
The Efesé subsidiary enters the most important part of the season to achieve promotion to the Second RFEF, the fourth category of Spanish football. There are three fundamental days left to seal the second position, and three ‘playoff’ eliminatory rounds. The team, coached by Pepe Aguilar, will be able to count on an expected ‘signing’: the return of the youth squad Neskes, who will contribute throughout this final stretch of the course to meet the objective.
The 20-year-old midfielder from Granada has significantly reduced his presence in the first team. He emerged strongly from the preseason and surprised everyone with performances as good as Burgos’s. That day, the Albinegro midfielder unblocked the game with a brilliant assist to Rubén Castro. In this 2022, however, he has participated in five of the last twelve games, entering the field in the last minutes.
From Lugo to El Palmar
As long as he continues in that role, Neskes is going to go with more and more presence to the subsidiary. He did it last Sunday in the important victory against El Palmar (2-0), less than 48 hours after playing the last quarter of an hour at Anxo Carro de Lugo. The midfielder returned to Cartagena B as a starter, something that has only happened four times; the last one, two months ago, against Ciudad de Murcia.
Those of Pepe Aguilar are going to measure themselves this Sunday (Ángel Celdrán, 5:30 p.m.) at the Deportiva Minera, in the Cartagena deputation of Llano del Beal. And Neskes, who has an appointment on Friday night against Alcorcón, will be recruited except for surprise. Without Tejera or Bodiger, Carrión shot before Cristóforo in Lugo. The normal thing is that the man from Granada, who has a contract until 2024, does not accumulate a high load of minutes.
The subsidiary has three days to seal the second position in Third. That position is key, since it will give him an advantage in a promotion phase to be developed during the month of May. The venue for that ‘playoff’ is yet to be confirmed. But Cartagena B will have to overcome three rounds in a single match. In the event of a tie in extra time, their status as second classified would always give them victory.
“It’s about him taking on an important role. Now it’s his turn here and we are delighted to have players like him. Every time he comes it’s a luxury, and he’s welcome. We are one point better with him and he brings those experiences with the first team. if i didn’t play [ante el Alcorcón] and it is decided like this, phenomenal. But always respecting the times and the first team, “explains Aguilar.
Gallar only completes part of the session and Bodiger works outside the group
Cartagena began the week of training yesterday after the rest day on Monday. He did it in the usual place, Pinatar Arena. All the first team players attended the session, with the exception of the injured Luna. The first fifteen minutes, warm-up and rounds, were completed by Gallar before leaving for the gym and physiotherapy area. Apart from the group, Bodiger trained, still with discomfort from that fissure in his ribs suffered against Lugo. Left-back Alberto de la Bella and center-back Pablo Vázquez trained normally, in top form after a stomach virus that kept him off the pitch at Anxo Carro. The homegrown players Neskes and Sergio Díaz were there.
