The result is spectacular, will the North American company take note of the wishes of this player?
For many users, including this server, Need for Speed: Underground was the gateway to the Electronic Arts racing series, a video game that left a great memory among fans and that has aged quite well. However, there are those who dream of what a remastering, even remake, of the production could look like, with 4K and ray tracing.
“Even after almost two decades, Underground and Underground 2 are among the best games ever released in the series. Should a remake be done? While we wait, let me show you what Underground could look like in 4K with ray tracing, “Sanadsk presents on YouTube, explaining that this will be the first of several videos aimed at imagining remasters of his favorite games.
The result is obvious, leaving us wanting to return to the urban and night scenes that Black Box devised in Need for Speed: Underground in 2003, welcoming a second installment just a year later. Now we just have to wait if EA takes note and decides to bring back and optimized this fast-paced racing title originally released for PC, PlayStation 2, Xbox and Nintendo GameCube.
The new Need for Speed
The North American company has continued working during the last 20 years in the franchise, leaving us very varied deliveries and of different reception. The next one will arrive in 2022 with Criterion Games at the forefront of the new Need for Speed. The details about the production are rather scarce, and in fact its creators are currently supporting another very different development, Battlefield 2042.
If you don’t want to wait until 2022, in 2019 Need for Speed Heat was released, a video game with a wide variety of tests, from races, time trials, drifts and off-road tracks that you can learn more about by reading the NFS Heat analysis.
