The Federal National Council, headed by His Excellency Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Council, will hold its fourth session of its third regular session of the seventeenth legislative term, next Wednesday, in Zayed Hall at the Council headquarters, during which it will discuss the topic of the role of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology in developing the national industry, and raise five questions to government representatives.
The council will discuss the report of the Technical, Energy and Mineral Resources Committee on this subject according to the following axes: the strategic plan that the ministry seeks to achieve with regard to developing the local industry, incentives and grants to support national industries and protect them from foreign industries, and cooperation and coordination with local and federal agencies in supporting national industries.
Council members will ask five questions to government representatives, where Mohammed Issa Al-Kashf will ask His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, about “increasing electricity prices on citizens’ farms,” and Saeed Rashid Al-Abedi will ask a question to Her Excellency Maryam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al-Muhairi. The Minister of Climate Change and Environment on “Farmers leaving their farms”.
Hamad Ahmed Al Rahoumi, First Deputy Chairman of the Council, will also direct two questions, the first to Her Excellency Maryam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Muhairi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, about “raising electricity prices for citizen farmers,” and the second to His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, about “raising the electricity bill in an exaggerated manner.” It is for citizen farmers.” Marwan Obaid Al Muhairi will ask a question to His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, about “calculating calories in restaurants and food and beverage outlets.”
