NBA: Kenny Atkinson turned down to become coach of the Charlotte Hornets

After days ago it was announced that Kenny Atkinson had agreed to become the next head coach of the Charlotte Hornetstoday, it was revealed he has finally turned down the offer from the NBA team owned by Michael Jordan.

According to information provided by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Atkinson, after winning the title of league champion with the Golden State Warriors after beating the boston celticsrevealed that he will remain as the main assistant of Steve Kerr.

The Warriors seemed to be left without Kerr’s 2 main assistant coaches, since Mike Brown, a few weeks ago, agreed to be the new coach of the Sacramento Kings starting in the 2022/2023 season, once the playoffs were over, which ended with Golden State’s fourth title in 8 years.
