The Naturgy group electric distributor, UFD, has exceeded 50,000 self -consumption facilities connected to its electricity grid in Spain. The company facilitated the connection to its infrastructure of more than 13,000 new self -consumption during the 2024 set, which represents a growth of 35%.
These points were distributed by Castilla-La Mancha (4,968), Galicia (3,410), Community of Madrid (3,272) and Castilla y León (1,366). UFD is managing connection requests according to the new processes defined by regulatory bodies and collaborates closely with them to speed up the deadlines.
In 2024, the average time for the activation of a self -consumption that meets all the requirements, since the marketer application is received, it was approximately 3.2 days, being below the 5 -day limit established by the regulations. .
Collective self -consumptions have also grown significantly in the last year, tripling the number compared to 2023. The company has already connected more than 230 facilities of this type to its network with a total of 2,830 associated customers, which means multiplying by eight The number of consumers supplied through this modality in just one year. On average, each of these self -consumption points adds 12 consumers.
UFD is present in Galicia, where it is the largest electricity distributor, as well as in Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha and Castilla y León. Currently, it serves almost 3.9 million supply points through a network of 116,000 kilometers of high, medium and low voltage lines, maintaining and operating the networks with the commitment to guarantee the service in conditions of efficiency, security and quality.
According to the APPA employers, self -consumption continues to move away from the objectives set due to the lack of concrete fiscal measures, access to networks and administrative simplification. In 2024, the installed power of photovoltaic self -consumption was reduced for the second consecutive year up to 1,431 MW, 26.3 % less than in 2023.
