Stoltenberg: Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes deep into the Russian Federation could be important for Western assistance to Kyiv
There is currently no “silver bullet” for Western military assistance to Ukraine that will change everything on the battlefield, but Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) strikes deep into Russian territory could make a difference as part of the West’s broader efforts to help Kyiv. About this in an interview Reuters said NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
“There are no risk-free options in war,” the secretary general added. In his opinion, any cessation of the conflict through negotiations must include security guarantees for Ukraine from Western powers, primarily the United States.
Earlier it became known that the United States is still continuing to discuss the possibility of allowing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to launch strikes deep into Russian territory using weapons transferred from Western countries, despite the Pentagon’s doubts about the benefit of this step for Kyiv.
