Gran Canaria – Italy on the podium in the European Nations’ Cup of golf played by eight teams of the national associations of golf journalists. The competitions took place on the island of Gran Canaria, overlooking the Atlantic in the Lopesan Meloneras course and on the crater of a volcano at the Real Golf Club Bandama in Las Palmas. Each country was represented by ten journalists. Germany, already holder of the trophy, won again the record in front of the Spanish hosts who beat the Azzurri by only two points. Followed by Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands.
The Italian team was made up of Marco Bucarelli, Stefano Cazzetta, Beatrice D’Ascenzi, Davide Governale, Marco Lanza, Giulio Lapasini, Paolo Pacciani (captain), Marco Peschiera, Gianni Piva and Barbara Zonchello.
