United States.- It was in the middle of last month of November of this 2022 when the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (POT) successfully launched the Artemis I unmanned mission. Now, a few days before the first phase ends, the US agency has released the latest photos of the Moon taken by cameras built into the Orion spacecraft.
It was last Wednesday November 16 of the current year when, from Cape Canaveral, Florida, United StatesNASA’s Orion capsule took off, thereby beginning the first stage of the Artemis Mission that seeks to take humanity back to the Moon.
It is in this context how the spaceship of the US agency, floating at about 390 thousand kilometers from planet Earthwhere the capsule, whose crew is made up of 3 mannequins, has managed to capture impressive photos and videos of the lunar body.
Just as in days gone by, NASA posted images and clips captured by Orion on its journey to Earth’s natural satellite, so it has also taken advantage of the trip back to the blue planet to take some shots.
In these latest images that NASA’s special spacecraft has captured you can see the Earth, the Moon and the capsule itselfwhich has managed to pass its exam halfway.
It is in this way that, if it were a film, the body of the capsule is seen, compared to the surface of the Moon, as a very small object. Meanwhile, the planet where we live looks like a body emerging from the bottom of the photograph with a hidden white border that crowns its surface. Despite the fact that in the background you can see a small red planet, it must be clarified that it is not Marsbut an effect produced by the lens.
NASA managed to capture the impressive image described above during a time when the Orion spacecraft was flying directly behind the Moon, while what is seen in the background, as an orange dot, is the Earth.

When will Orion land on Earth?
It should be noted that Orion is expected to enter the Earth’s atmosphere within a few days. If everything goes as NASA envisioned, the space capsule will be able to be retrieved on sunday december 11.
