There is already a prime suspect regarding the identity of the mysterious remastered game For PS5 that Sony should announce at the next State of Playalthough the matter remains to be seen: it seems that VGC journalist Jordan Middler is suggesting that the game in question is Days Gone.
Middler doesn’t specifically name the game, but through some messages posted on X he has definitely pointed towards the title in question. Speaking of a person who was “angry about one of his characters in Astro Bot” it seems to be referring to the director of Days Gonewho will probably be even more furious after hearing the news coming from State of Play.
This leads one to believe that the announcement about PlayStation Studios’ new first party game could be a Days Gone Remastered, as absurd as that may seem.
Days Gone Remastered coming soon?
Obviously, this should be taken as a simple rumor, also because it is a rumor built on a rumor base: in fact, there is not even any confirmation of the existence of this State of Play, so the very basis of the information is not confirmed at all.
Beyond that, it seems really strange that Days Gone would be considered for a remaster, but it could be in line with the description of a “less exciting announcement than Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered” as reported by Jeff Grubb earlier this week, although this is a very controversial and subjective issue.
Of course, the logic of Sony’s remasters has taught us not to exclude anything a priori, so we’ll see.
