MAN WITH A MISSION, a band that just released their latest single called INTO THE DEEP on June 9th, he just announced some awesome updates on a new song!
The new song Merry-Go-Round is the new opening theme for the anime My Hero Academia for the second part of season 5. My Hero Academia was aired in Japan beginning Saturday, June 26. This popular anime that has fans in and out of Japan is inspired by the manga of the same name. My Hero Academia is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi and was serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump. The popularity of the TV series has grown rapidly and will be released in Japan this summer My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: World Heroes’ Mission. The story is set in a world where people have supernatural abilities called “Quirks”. The story revolves around a boy, Izuku Midoriya, who stands up and fights against those who try to abuse people’s Quirk. Viewers witness the boy’s journey towards maturity.
The MWAM band, who composed the song, commented that the members are big fans of the original manga. “I am so happy to have had the great opportunity to create the opening theme for” My Hero Academia “as I really love this manga!”
MAN WITH A MISSION is a five-member rock band. They are the five “Ultimate Life Forms” that have the head of a wolf and the body of a human being.
Their latest song is melodramatic and strong in sound. This song is about the frustrating and never-ending circle of one’s emotions when people aim to achieve something. As the title of the song suggests “Merry-Go-Round”, it describes when you run with passion after trying to reach someone special, a person who is your goal, but you don’t feel at all as if you were reaching or approaching it. This new opening theme was heard for the first time on Saturday 26 June and their new PV with the new opening sequence footage was also released before the opening theme was broadcast on TV. The digital distribution of “Merry-Go-Round” begins on July 17th.
Comments from MWAM members
“I am really happy to have had this amazing opportunity to compose the theme song for ‘My Hero Academia’. I’ve always enjoyed reading manga! When Izuku admires All Mighty, when people chase someone trying to achieve their goals, and you still don’t feel at all like you’re getting close ……. I wrote this song based on that complex feeling. And I compare the sensation to a carousel, a carousel. I hope this song is an exciting addition to the story as a “Plus Ultra”. Let’s enjoy this new season of the anime together! “
