Technology mogul Elon Musk shared a post by federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) on the social network X, this Wednesday (10), praising his “courage” in criticizing the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and the president from Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, during a speech at the UN.
The congressman played a video of a speech given at the Transatlantic Summit in New York last year, in which he defended values of protecting life, the nation and the family and then criticized the socialist government led by Lula who, according to He, “is a corrupt person who should be arrested”, as well as STF ministers.
When sharing the Minas Gerais politician's publication, Musk referred to Nikolas as a “courageous man”.
Musk's criticisms against Moraes have been accentuated since the release of Twitter Files Brasil, which revealed a series of documents about the platform's reaction to censorship requests and profile data in the country. Since then, Musk has called Moraes a “brutal dictator”, classifying the measures imposed by the minister as “arbitrary and illegal”.
The Twitter Files Brasil documents were revealed by American journalist Michael Shellenberger, in collaboration with Gazeta do Povo.
