Tesla recently launched the latest update of the FSD system, or Full Self-Driving, with which the Palo Alto carmaker wanted to optimize the automated driving experience of its customers. An unsuccessful attempt? In part yes. Word of Elon Musk, Tesla’s number one, who on his official Twitter profile admitted that in reality this is not a great update, and which therefore does not optimize the automated driving experience of users.
FSD Beta 9.2 is actually not great imo, but Autopilot / AI team is rallying to improve as fast as possible.
We’re trying to have a single stack for both highway & city streets, but it requires massive NN retraining.

“The new version of the FSD system is not really great in my opinion – wrote the South African manager – But our Autopilot / AI team is already moving for improve the software as quickly as possible“. Musk hopes that the same unit of the system can be fully functional both on the highway and on city streets, but it is a process that still requires a lot of time and effort. While waiting to understand how long it will take the Tesla team to further improve this FSD technology update, Musk has already made it known that if other car manufacturers would like to license the system for use in their cars, they will soon have the opportunity to do so.
