American musician, singer-songwriter Mark Lanegan has died. This is reported in his Twitter-account.
“Our beloved friend Mark Lanegan passed away this morning at his home in Killarney, Ireland. The beloved singer, songwriter and musician was 57 years old and is survived by his wife Shelley. At the moment there is no other information. We ask you to respect the privacy of the family, ”the publication says.
Last year, one of the founders of the Screaming Trees band suffered from the coronavirus. The disease was severe, so Lanegan had to be hospitalized. At the hospital, he was put into a medically induced coma.
Mark Lanegan was born November 25, 1964. At 21, he founded the grunge band Screaming Trees with Gary Lee Conner, Van Conner and Mark Pickerel. The band broke up in 2000, but during his career Lanegan managed not only to record eight solo albums, but also to collaborate with such musicians as Queens of the Stone Age, Kurt Cobain, PJ Harvey, Isobel Campbell and Moby.
