In Moscow, the minimum pension will be increased with an additional payment to 21,193 rubles a month. It is reported by RIA News with reference to the press service of the mayor of the capital Sergei Sobyanin.
“Due to the city supplement, the minimum pension for non-working pensioners in Moscow is 1.5 times higher than that provided for by federal legislation,” the message says.
The text also says that the draft budget for 2022 includes an indexation of social benefits by 4.8 percent. The salaries of teachers, doctors and other state employees will grow by the same amount. In total, 602.9 billion rubles will be allocated for social support measures next year.
Earlier, Yulia Finogenova, professor of the department and prices of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, said that in 2022 the pensions of Russians will be indexed in accordance with the growth index of the living wage of a pensioner. At present, the average subsistence minimum for a pensioner in the country is 10,022 rubles, next year it will increase to 10,277. In this regard, insurance pensions will increase by 5.9 percent from January 1, 2022, pensions will increase by 7.7 percent from April 1, 2022.
