The Moscow air exceeded the norm of a hazardous substance – carbon monoxide. About this with reference to the representative of emergency services on Tuesday, November 2, writes RIA News…
It is specified that an excess of the maximum permissible concentration of carbon oxides by 1.04 times was recorded at the checkpoint in Lyublino. The ecological situation, in particular, was worsened by waste incineration. So, residents of Moscow and the Moscow region complained about smoke and burning smell, and over the past 24 hours, almost 30 thermal points were registered in the region.
According to a spokesman for the emergency services, the projected increase in wind on Tuesday should improve the situation in the region and disperse harmful impurities in the atmosphere.
On the evening of November 1, a thick fog covered the capital region. Technogenic factors were the reason for this atmospheric anomaly, says ecologist Anton Khlynov. Mosekomonitoring, in turn, stressed that this is a purely meteorological phenomenon, and the fog is not associated with emissions from transport and industrial enterprises.
