Muscovites were warned about a thunderstorm with hail and urged to be careful
On June 2, a thunderstorm with hail and strong winds is expected in Moscow. The Municipal Economy Complex warned residents of the capital about the dangerous weather phenomenon in its Telegram-channel.
According to forecasters, the thunderstorm may begin in the next 2-3 hours and last until 23:00. “Short rain, downpour, hail and thunderstorms are expected in some places in the capital. During a thunderstorm, wind gusts of up to 17 meters per second are possible,” the publication says. Muscovites were urged to be careful on the street.
Earlier, the head of the Meteo forecasting center, Alexander Shuvalov, promised residents of the capital a cool and rainy start to summer. According to the weather forecaster, in the middle of the first week of June the air temperature in Moscow will drop to a comfortable 22-24 degrees.
At the same time, the meteorologist expects the heaviest precipitation on Monday, June 3. During this period, up to 20 percent of the monthly norm may fall. Therefore, you should not hope for heat in the first half of the month.
