A suspect in a murder committed in 1993 in the west of the capital was detained in Moscow. About it informs REN TV.
According to the publication, in the summer of 1993, a man shot a Russian with a TT pistol on Krylatskaya Street. On the same day, a criminal case was opened on the murder, but the law enforcement officers failed to trace the suspect. In 2015, according to REN TV, the case was closed.
On March 1, 2022, the man reappeared in Moscow. The police detained him on Autumn Boulevard. It turned out that the suspect was registered in the Vladimir region, but for almost 30 years he was hiding from the investigation abroad. Now he has returned to Russia.
The detainee confessed to the crime. He was charged and released on bail.
