The young woman from Murcia
Paula Sánchez García, 18, just became the
Spanish Triathlon champion in the Junior category, in the tests that are held in the town of Banyoles, in Girona, this weekend. Paula repeats podium in a little less than a month, since on August 8 she won the bronze medal in the Junior European Cup of this modality, which was held in Riga (Latvia), in which she participated for the first time.
She was the best of the participating athletes born in 2003.
Paula Sánchez García, from the Albacete Triathlon, has entered the finish line with a time of 01:05:09 hours, 26 seconds from the second, after performing the three necessary tests: 750 meters swimming, 20 kilometers by bike and the last five miles running.

Along with the young woman from Murcia, two other young people from Murcia also won the highest award:
Nieves Navarro Jimenez, from the Saltoki team, champion of Spain Youth (has completed the three tests in 1 hour five minutes and 22 seconds); and
Francisco Navarro Egio, from Uni Data, Spanish Junior Men’s Champion, with a time of 56 minutes and 41 seconds. During the awards ceremony, a minute of silence was observed in memory of Pablo Alarcón, the Uni Data athlete who died this week.
Paula also competes this Sunday in the Junior European Cup, the last qualifying event for the Junior World Championship, which will be held in Bermuda. Your goal is to score.
