The funding will go to actions in Los Rosales and the Holy Spirit and in various projects for homeless people
“We have fought for them” so that none of the projects presented will fall by the wayside. Thus defended the Councilor for Social Services, Paqui Pérez, the action of the City Council after announcing last Thursday during the plenary session that Murcia had obtained 3.4 million European funds ‘Next Generation’ for the next three years. The approved grant, which was published in the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (Borm) on June 11, is for the development of “innovative projects for the comprehensive care of the vulnerable population.” The decree that regulates the funds and collects the direct aid granted to Murcia and other towns in the Region, is 67/2022, which was approved by the Community Governing Council on June 2 at the request of the Ministry of Women , Equality, LGTBI, Families, Social Policy and Transparency.
Social Services will allocate this amount to two community intervention projects in the deprived neighborhoods of Los Rosales (El Palmar) and Espíritu Santo (Espinardo); support for people in situations of high social vulnerability; promotion and conciliation of family life for prostitutes in city neighborhoods and various projects for the development of comprehensive care services for the homeless (home help, against unwanted loneliness, etc.).
