The Argentine Federico Coria and the Spanish Jaume Munar, first and second seeds, respectively, managed to go to the next round of the Uruguay Open, which began this Monday at the Carrasco Lawn Tennis in Montevideo.
The man from Rosario, number 70 in the world, had to fight for two hours and 40 minutes of the game to win 6-3, 5-7 and 6-3 against his compatriot Andrea Collarini, who had beaten him on the clay of Montevideo in 2015 and 2016.
His second-round rival will be the Brazilian Matheus Pucinelli De Almeida, who on Monday defeated Chilean Tomás Barrios Vera 6-4 and 7-5.
For its part, the Spanish Jaume Munar, defending champion of the tournament, had no complications to win a quick 6-1 and 6-2 over Argentine Facundo Mena.
His opponent in the next round will be the Argentine Pedro Cachín, who today defeated his compatriot Guido Andreozzi 4-6, 6-3 and 6-3.
