Bookstores are usually welcoming and pleasant places in the eyes of those who look at or visit them. Whenever I enter one I feel so reconciled with the environment and even with myself —which is already saying a lot—, that I have the feeling that the hands of all the clocks have stopped and time has stopped flowing. There is no rush, no worries, no tasks to do, no appointments to keep. The only important thing is to review as many of the books as possible that are offered everywhere. Choose the ones that interest us and look for a stool, chair or armchair where to sit down to browse or read the back covers or some paragraphs of the volumes that we want to take home, with the sole intention of making a better reading; and, later, accommodate them in one of our bookcases; in order to have them within reach whenever we need or feel like consulting them or reading them again. In this sense, it is a privilege that, in the city of Culiacán, in Antonio Rosales #834, since last April, Sonia Higuera has inaugurated and opened to the public Mrs Dalloway: a bookstore that offers dozens of titles of classical and contemporary authors, regardless of whether they are renowned or almost unknown; Mexican, Argentine, Chilean, Colombian, Spanish or any other country or nationality. In Mrs Dalloway, in addition, exhibitions, performances, concerts, readings are held and coffee and other drinks are served.
