The new program should include, in addition to Bolsa Família, the national food purchase program and training and microcredit initiatives, said Roma, after being asked by journalists about which programs would be unified. “It will be a unique program,” stated the minister.
The statements were made after a meeting in Rome with Economy Minister Paulo Guedes, who said that the new program will be funded with resources already available in the Budget.
“The social programs are being carried out within fiscal responsibility, with respect to the ceiling,” said Guedes. He stated that the tax reform proposed by the government should also promote income distribution, by levying tax on corporate dividends.
The income tax reform proposed by the government provides for the payment of 20% on the amount distributed by companies to shareholders. in this fourthOn Thursday (28), Guedes stated, however, that companies that adhered to Simples should be left out of the rule.
