Movie Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who divorced three years ago, are now arguing over the sale of the winery

Angelina Jolie sold her stake in the French farm to a Russian liquor giant against the will of Brad Pitt.

Actor and a movie star Brad Pitt has challenged his ex – wife, actor and movie star Angelina Jolien to court, they say BBC and The Guardian.

The reason is that Jolie sold her stake in a French winery she owned with Pitt to a Russian alcohol company against Pitt’s will. According to Pi, the former spouses had agreed that the space would not be sold without the consent of the other.

As early as 2008, Pitt and Jolie had jointly acquired a majority stake in the Château Miraval winery in the south-east of France. The couple was married on the farm in 2014.

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt two years later and the divorce took effect in 2019.

Jolie informed Pitt in early 2021 that he wanted to sell his stake in the space because he no longer wanted to be involved in the alcohol business.

The couple’s talks broke down fruitlessly a few months later, and Jolie decided to do business with Tenute del Mondo, a Russian-based company that belongs to the SPI Group. SPI is best known for its vodka brands, and behind it is a Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler.

Brad Pitt bases his demands on the fact that he has invested a lot of money and time in running the farm and made it one of the most respected rosé wine producers in the world. He thinks Jolie has benefited undeservedly from the deal.

Château Miraval has produced about € 44 million worth of wine a year.
