Genoa – This morning the technical table wanted by the Liguria Region to tackle the motorway construction sites in the Ligurian sections and the related new programming for the next few months. “Before us – explained the regional councilor for infrastructure Giacomo Giampedrone – we still have a week full of almost free circulation due to the absence of construction sites, thanks to the decisions taken in the meetings in recent months. Furthermore, we have decided, in an overall picture that will take place next spring, presented by Aspi this morning, that we will focus month by month, trying to prevent the most critical construction sites to be faced and finding all possible compensatory measures “.
As regards January, the situation currently hypothesized will be the following:
– On the A12 between Rapallo and Chiavari (Maddalena and Anchetta tunnels) from 10 January to 21 January there will be an exchange of carriageways in the direction of Livorno without interrupting construction sites on weekends.
– On the A12 at the Monte Sperone tunnel (between the Genova Est tollbooth and the A 7 connection) carriageway change in the direction of Genoa from 10 January to 21 January, without closing on weekends.
– On the A10 at the Prà tunnel, between the airport and Genova Prà from 15 to 16 January expected carriageway change in the direction of Savona.
– On the A10 from 10 January onwards, at the Ranco tunnel between Savona and Albisola, carriageway change towards Savona.
– Still on the A10 on the weekends of January 22 and 23 and January 29 and 30, the carriageway will close in the direction of Savona, at the A10 – A26 junction, with the obligation to detour towards Masone and return towards Genoa for those who must continue towards Savona.
– The corresponding construction sites return to the A26 from 10 to 28 January between Masone and Ovada And between the connection with the A26 and Masone.
Also today jointly, the Liguria Region and the Municipality of Genoa, have asked for an extension, at least for the month of January, of the current ones tariff exemptions in order to facilitate the restoration of ordinary tariffs with the simultaneous implementation of the cashback which should start on January 1 and which will allow the application of automatic toll reimbursement measures based on the lengthening of travel times and the inconvenience suffered for the construction sites.
“As a municipal administration – says the councilor for mobility, Matteo Campora – we have expressed the need for have a monthly schedule of all interventions that Autostrade will carry out. This is to allow us to inform users and categories, in particular road hauliers, in a broad and timely manner. We will activate a constant monitoring activity through our Local Police to better manage the repercussions and the impact of these interventions on the city traffic. Hence, in fact, the need to continue the discussions through periodic meetings. During this morning’s meeting we reiterated the need to keep the motorway sections affected by the works free of charge for the entire month of January. We also expressed the need for an adequate information campaign on the cashback tool “
