The works of the first edition of Motorsport Next – Industry Innovation and Technology Transfer Global Forum, the event dedicated to innovation, research and technology transfer in the motorsport sector, co-organized by ANFIA, closed yesterday, 30 June 2021. -Motorsport and Autopromotec.
Many topics were discussed during the two conference sessions, conducted and moderated by Federica Masolin, journalist and Sky Sport TV presenter and Tim Angus, researcher on economic development and innovation. In the morning session, important exponents of the motorsport industry talked about their perspective on future trends in the sector: they talked about the use of new materials and technologies, but also about electrification and sustainability and the importance of training young talents.
In the afternoon session, space will instead be devoted to the theme of technology transfer from the motorsport sector to various industrial sectors: through a series of case histories, the speakers highlighted the opportunities represented by the exchange of skills with sectors such as, for example, biomedical and aerospace, with an important window also open to the academic world.
The co-organizers intervened at the opening of the conference to greet the connected public: “It is an honor for me to welcome the participants of the first edition of Motorsport Next by ANFIA, an event that we intend to transform into a point of reference at European for the entire motorsport sector ”, commented Marco Stella, President of the ANFIA Components Group, during the introductory greetings. “ANFIA has believed in this initiative from the beginning, proud to collaborate with Autopromotec to enhance the know-how of Italian motorsport companies, their excellence and their ability to act as protagonists of innovation for the automotive and other sectors. related sectors “.
Renzo Servadei, CEO of Autopromotec, greeted the public underlining the importance of the initiative for the sector: “Most of the general public is used to thinking of motorsport as a moment of great sporting passion; behind this, however, there is an industrial fabric made up of important and highly specialized companies, which work and carry out crucial business relationships both within the sector and towards technologically related sectors. We are therefore honored to dedicate ourselves to this specific sector and give companies the opportunity to share their experience and expand their business “.
Furthermore, the sponsoring companies present in the virtual exhibition area had the opportunity to meet guests, professional operators and visitors present, connected from different parts of the world.
The Motorsport Next event was the pioneering event of Motor Valley Fest, scheduled from today, 1 July, to 4 July 2021, and is part of the agreement for the realization of an extraordinary project – signed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, ICE – Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies, the Emilia-Romagna Region and APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna – to support the excellence of “Made in Italy”, in particular the automotive supply chain.
