Bagnaia lets off steam after qualifying
To “Pecco” Bagnaia the sanction imposed by the government did not go down Stewards Panel by three positions on the starting grid on Sunday. The reigning world champion will therefore have to start the race from fifth position, all for one impeding to the detriment of Alex Marquez which he believes is not only non-existent but also artfully “called” by the Spaniard’s reaction on the track.
Bagnaia’s words
After qualifying at Mugello, the #1 vented his anger against the sanction: “Starting from the front row was one of the most important things I could do today, because this clown penalty was something uselessbut that’s how it went and let’s see how it goes“.
“Today it will be important to start well and do our best. We know that our pace is very, very fast, so I think I can lead from the first lap: if I could, it would be a great advantage.“.
Appeal rejected
Ducati presented an appeal against the commissioners’ decision yesterday, but the request was rejected and therefore the world champion will be forced to make a comeback tomorrow.
