Luca Marini: “A somewhat difficult start for this championship, a little bit of everything happened today and now it is important to restart and get back on track with loads of energy tomorrow. In terms of riding, I can say that the grip on the front is very difficult, completely different sensations compared to Indonesia. With the crash in FP2, I did very little, but tomorrow we have two rounds to improve. We will not upset the bike, we will continue to analyze my feelings and work on the electronics. There we can take a step forward“.
Marco Bezzecchi: “It was a beautiful day, fun and exciting. It was the first day I expected, even on lap times. The level is very high in this category and you have to take care of every detail. Tomorrow we will continue to work, today we did well with the team and we can take a step forward in terms of electronics for qualifying“.
Pablo Nieto (team manager): “Today was a special day, a first for many of us and I’m quite happy with how it went. Luca got off to a good start, but the fall in FP2 disturbed us and slowed down our plan a bit. Marco did a great job, he is a rookie and tomorrow he can take a step forward to get closer to the group“.
