Ducati won the Constructors’ World Championship in MotoGP in 2021, after having collected seven victories with three of the riders supported directly by the brand.
Jack Miller has won twice, in Jerez and Le Mans, while team mate Francesco Bagnaia has taken four wins, and rookie Jorge Martin signed his first premier-class success at the Styrian Grand Prix.
Bagnaia, who was runner-up in 2021, said at the conclusion of last month’s Jerez test that Ducati had managed to improve on a bike that was already perfect.
When Miller was then asked if he thinks Ducati can dominate with his new bike next year, the Australian replied: “I think so.”
“I think the GP20 has already been improved with the GP21, which was basically the same bike. We were able to be dominant towards the end of the season, especially with Pecco.”
“We have always been there for most of the race weekends, and I think we have improved, so we have a good chance of dominating next year.”

His boxing mate, Pecco Bagnaia, is convinced that Ducati did a tremendous job to fine-tune this year’s package, as development was also frozen to keep costs down in the COVID-19 era.
“I think we had an extra year to concentrate more or less on the same bike, and for me it was better, because I understood how to ride it without too many changes,” explained the Italian rider.
“Of course, compared to my bike last year, there were a lot of changes. But when the season started, I felt good and started working on it.”
“I think it’s the same for Jack, we’ve worked a lot and now we’re doing different things with the same bike, because we’re stronger in both braking and cornering.”
“I think we’ve done a great job this year and it’s good for the engineers who have to develop next year’s bike. We’ve really done a huge job in 2021.”
