MotoGP World Championship leader Jorge Martin won the Indonesian Grand Prix. The Spaniard from Ducati Pramac he preceded Pedro Acosta on Ktm and the world champion and main rival for the title, Francesco Bagnaia on the official Ducati, third at the end of a long and tiring comeback.
Marc Marquez retires mid-race due to technical problems on his Ducati of the Gresini team who leaves the track with the engine on fire. Also out was Enea Bastianini (official Ducati) who crashed with seven laps to go when he was third. Fourth in the end was the other Italian Franco Morbidelli on Ducati Pramac, in the podium area for almost the entire race.
