The Pierer Mobility group, which manages both the official team, the one with the orange bikes, and the one born from the alliance with Tech 3, GasGas, will change its strategy with the aim of attracting already established riders, such as Enea Bastianini. In fact, the interest of the entrepreneurial group led by Stefan Pierer in taking over the two positions which, until now, have been attributed to Hervé Poncharal, owner of the French team, is not new. So far Poncharal hasn’t wanted to get rid of him, even though he hasn’t lacked offers.
The 26-year-old from Rimini will face his fifth season in the premier class in 2025, in which he achieved a total of five victories, 24 podiums and nine pole positions. His best year so far was 2022, in which he ranked third, after fighting for the title with Pecco Bagnaia and Fabio Quartararo, until the final stretch of the season.

This level of performance earned him a place in the official Ducati team, where however he did not live up to the expectations he had set for himself. In this sense, the Borgo Panigale manufacturer should announce the hiring of Marc Marquez in the next few hours, who will replace the “Beast”. The official announcement from KTM should also arrive soon.
It is not yet clear, however, who will team up with Bastianini, who has joined the GasGas team. Acosta’s renewal, announced last weekend during the Italian Grand Prix, will promote the Spaniard to the “first team”, alongside Brad Binder, who has a contract with the Austrian manufacturer until the end of 2026. It is not clear what it will happen to Jack Miller, the South African’s current teammate, whose contract with the Mattighofen manufacturer expires at the end of this year.
