After a year of forced absence, MotoGP returns to the iconic British circuit of Silverstone. Fast, technical and fascinating, the track in the East Midlands is an excellent test bench to confirm the qualities of the new one Aprilia RS-GP. The drivers also appreciate the Silverstone layout, unanimously considered a circuit as demanding as it is engaging.
Lorenzo Savadori will make his return to the Aprilia garage alongside Aleix Espargaro ‘, absent in the second Austrian stage after the bad accident the previous weekend. The operation on the right malleolus has been successfully overcome, now the rider awaits the doctors’ ok (expected tomorrow morning) to get back on the saddle.
Aleix Espargarò: “I missed Silverstone. It is a long and technical track, where you can really take advantage of the MotoGP performance. The last time we raced there I was pretty competitive in the race and I also think it fits well with the characteristics of the RS-GP, so I can’t wait to get back on track.“.
Lorenzo Savadori: “I don’t know Silvesrtone well, I haven’t raced there since 2013, but it’s a fast and very nice circuit. The injury is quite recent, tomorrow I will undergo a check to verify the situation and receive the authorization to run. I can’t wait to get back on the saddle to understand how the ankle will react, both in terms of strength and pain. We will have to grit my teeth but I’m ready to face this weekend “.
